I have to begin by saying that I love the broad outlook of artistic variety presented in Cezanne's piece. His theories on art differ from numerous examples of those who have a set goal in mind. From Monte to Renoir, their work reflect on examples exhibiting muse AS IS rather than what COULD BE. I deeply admire Cezanne for idolizing endless possibilities in art. The silent dialogue hidden within the walls of his work make the general public "THINK."
We currently live in a world where answers are constantly given without the struggle of having to work for them. Presented with original structure as those of Cezanne's paintings, the viewer struggles to understand the sole concept. Therefore, the piece is fulfilling it's purpose by making the audience experiment in the roam of critical thinking. It's important for any artist to find his voice as an individual. In order succeed, they must fully isolate themselves from monotony and strive toward originality. How is it done??
Truth is, there aren't ways to describe how it's done but everything in the visual sense has a meaning and purpose. It's what make up VISUAL COMPONENTS.
Colors represent certain definition being the title of recognition they've been presented with since before we can remember. For example, from an early age we're taught that RED can signify STOP, DANGER, PASSION, DEATH, etc. Different definitions that represent the nature of one color. BUT....what if that's the answer. What if, that's Cezanne's way of identifying himself in art?? His work seems incomplete because he wants you to visually complete it for him. He presents the audience with a plot but it's up to them to write the story using imagination, recognition, color signification, and visual structure. Comprehending a piece using visual components is a masterpiece at it's most meaningful moment.
